Therapies / Skills
Children's Health Specialty Services - Waxahachie
Povides outpatient occupational, physical, and speech therapies, as well as parent education and support, care coordination, and developmental screenings and equipment assignments. Accepts Medicaid.
Therapeutic horseback riding sessions run March-June and September-November on Tuesdays/Thursdays/every other Saturday. Riding pricing is $20 for 30 minutes or $40 for an hour. Gaitway Training is another service they provide students.
Adult Skills / Parent Advocacy
Bridges provides occupational and educational services to children and adults that have developmental disabilities; with initial focus on individuals aged 18 +.
- Adult day hab program
- A parent-led program, Parent Advocacy Program, is launching at Bridges' facility on June 21st. This is open to parents and caregivers of all ages.
Recreational / Social
Hosts two free dances for people of all ages and abilities at the Midlothian Civic Center. DJ, dancing, games, prizes, self station, food and fun.

Midlothian PAWS* strives to create opportunities for special needs individuals and their families, educators, and caregivers, to experience full inclusion in the community through social events and team sports.

Challenge Air builds self-esteem and confidence of children and youth with specials needs, through the experience of flight. There's always games to play onsite while you're waiting on your flight. Look for an upcoming flight near you.
Ministry / Respite
Hidden Miracles - Waxahachie
Hidden Miracles Ministry offers Respite Night is held monthly on the first Saturday from 4:00-7:30 pm from SEP-NOV and FEB-MAY. They also offer special needs ministry during church servies. Contact: Lynn and Barbara McNeely or 972-837-6255.
Funtastic Friends - Midlothian
Special needs ministry for SN individuals through college at First Baptist Church - Midlothian. Prior to attending, please complete an information form and email to ashleyflach@gmail.com.
Inclusion/sunday school buddy system and quarterly respite night services provided by Ovilla United Methodist Church.
Free Medical Supplies
Get free supplies and equipment you need when you need them; especially the ones insurance deems a 'luxury' though they're actually essential. Through a families' struggle with losing a precious child, they became advocates for people who need medical supplies.

Attendant care available and is only based on your child's income; not the parents' income.
Call 1-877-438-5658 to have the child's name placed on any and all waiver interest lists. To be done by the age of 18 years.

Rider 28 Program a.k.a. "Money Follows the Person" is where you check in your child into a nursing home for 24 hours and begin receiving services and bypass the waiting list to receive Medicaid waiver program funds.
Texas HIPP Insurance Premium Reimbursement Program
Medicaid participants who are also covered by another primary insurance may be reimbursed for their primary insurance premium...for the whole family.
Free rides or gas
Medicaid participants may receive free rides or gas reimbursement to get to and from doctor and therapy appointments.
