![]() If you attended our March 15, 2014 dance, you know what a boo-tiful time the everyone had at the Halloween in March Saturday Social Inclusion Dance. We had volunteers as far away as Arkansas. Special guests included MISD PE Partners. They go above and beyond daily at the school with our special needs classes to partner with them and help them in the gym, on field trips, during Special Olympics events, and this time on a Saturday at a For Maddie's Sake Saturday Social Inclusion Dance. ![]() Due to the rainy weather and being Spring Break for school-aged kiddos, we missed some of our regulars and some newbies who planned to be at our dance. We still enjoyed our monster mash tunes by DJ Carl of Fire Bird Entertainment - yes he's back! Dancers from Midlothian, Red Oak, Savannah, and Waxahachie had a blast! We received enough donations to pay off this dance and have a future dance. Woohoo!

About Maddie"My name is Maddie and I'm a small teenager who enjoys life and has fun wherever I am!" "There's more to me than just my special needs and my diagnoses. People are very curious about me and I don't mind sharing.
I was born with a rare disorder Feingold Syndrome which consists of my most noticeable characteristic, Microcephaly (small head). Mommy says mine is cute and petite...just like me! "God gave it to me, so I thought I'd wear it." |
