Ladies & Gentlemen! Children of All Ages!
"The dance was awesome! My Rosie enjoys your dances so much. So happy we get to go, and it's so awesome you do that for the kids." ~Debbi
MIDLOTHIAN, TX | October 19, 2014 | Donna Dixon
For Maddie's Sake, Inc. presented its seventh inclusion dance to the greatest people on earth in Midlothian, Texas on October 18, 2014. Over 100 people prepared to be amazed at the sights of our dancers and magnificent circus-like performers.
We started off the night with some funky circus tunes by DJ Carl of Fire Bird Entertainment while everyone enjoyed yummy pizza from Sam's Pizza & Pasta, popcorn, cotton candy, animal crackers, and cookies brought in by our wonderful volunteers. Thanks to the lovely tattoo-like artists, children of all ages got their very own circus tats; temporary ones of course.
The dance floor was filled with children and adults of all ages. It was so awesome to look up and see several of Maddie's school friends, classmates, her educators and therapists. We hold these dances semi-annually for the community while we enjoy meeting many new people at every dance. Keep telling your friends so we can continue the fun for everyone for years to come.
THANK YOU TO OUR ENTERTAINMENT
Before we ended the night's festivities with the ever-so-popular door prizes, the amazing circus acts showed us their stuff! We had Ruby the Clown (Amy Jordan) showing us her tricks and pulling her red wagon with two stuff dogs; the amazing Hoop Dancer, Sarah Keane, who showed us what hula-hoop dancing is all about in style and with great poise; and the infamous Unicyclist, Tricky Ricky (Rick Lipsius) who reminds us of a little band called One Direction. What troopers they were to come entertain us with their charming talents.

Crafting for a Cause: "Capes for Kids - Be a Superhero!"
"I said out loud, every child living in a shelter needs to know, Don’t wait for a superhero, BE ONE!"
The capes that the For Maddie's Sake volunteers are crafting will be donated to the shelter after our Superhero themed Dance. We will take photos of our dancers in the capes and send them with the capes to Enchanted Makeovers.
"My name is Jamie and I really like Maddie's theme dances. I hope she has them many many years."
“The Blair Family LOVES the dances. We always have the best time talking, dancing and spending time with our friends!”
“The girls from Girl Scout Troop 703 loved making decorations and joining in on the fun! It was a great way to do community service and make new friends at the same time!”
